Police/detective AU (again lmao)! Athena is a prodigy who works with the police gets assigned to that “weird tiny useless police unit that no one really likes.” She’s an assistant to that lazy misfit detective with the bad rep, Simon Blackquill, who somehow still has a job because of connections of his talent of solving cold cases. Athena acts all tough and stoic/cold because she thinks she’ll be taken more seriously since she’s constantly disregarded due to her age. It’s only when she’s around Simon’s weird (bird/samurai-crazy) self where she reveals her true energetic personality. She ends up getting dragged along by Simon’s whimsy and they seem to be wasting time but they’re actually investigating. She helps Simon by observing things he accidentally glosses over and they work together to solve murder mysteries ;)
